Artwork Size: 12×12, Medium: Oil, Location Depicted in Artwork: Cane Hill, AR, Artist Statement: I was drawn to the sun?s rays caressing the clouds as I viewed the rich soil and fresh water springs in Cane Hill, one of the oldest settlements in Northwest Arkansas. Warm reflections energized the symbolic plein air story. The earliest public school, library, college and Sunday School were established in Cane Hill; a source of light given by those early 1828-1850 settlers, for all future generations.
