Artwork Size: 16×15, Medium: Watercolor, Location Depicted in Artwork: Yale, OK, Artist Statement: This piece was painted from reference material gathered at the Civil War re-enactment of the Battle of Round Mountain of 1861 near Yale, Oklahoma. I was inspired by the light and shade upon the tents, but particularly by the potential of the scene to express an intimate moment of a couple seeking God’s truth and wisdom at such a critical time of war. My hope is that the viewer might be inspired to do the same during the challenging times of our day.
