In addition to ceremonial and spiritual roles, the horse was invaluable when hunting and during battle. Riders sought to honor and protect their war horse by painting tribal symbols upon the animal?s face and body. ?War Pony? was inspired by this tradition and the powerful relationship between horse and rider.
