Description

Artwork Size: 30×30, Medium: Acrylic on Canvas, Location Depicted in Artwork: Jasper, AR, Artist Statement: Winding it’s way through the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas, the 153 mile long Buffalo National River is one of the longest undammed rivers west of the Mississippi. It was established by an act of congress in 1972 after enduring the reoccurring plans of the U.S. Corp of Engineers to construct one or more dams on the river. Gray Rock is typical of the scenic beauty enjoyed by those courageous enough to float the upper portion of the river.
