Artwork Size: 9×13, Medium: Oil, Location Depicted in Artwork: Sulphur Springs, AR, Artist Statement: On my way to a plein air painting event in Carthage I drove along the Elk River. I noticed how warm light reflected on the trees in the distant shoreline in contrast to the cool shadow and fog in the foreground. It was a scene that I felt needed to be expressed in a painting.
