Artwork Size: 15×21, Medium: Acrylic on paper, Location Depicted in Artwork: Little Rock, AR, Artist Statement: The Quapaw Quarter Association was established in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1962 to protect and advise on the area?s significant historic architecture.? The name was derived from the Quapaw Treaty Line of 1818 which runs through the neighborhood. The boundaries of the Quapaw Quarter reflect those of Little Rock in 1900 – from the Arkansas River south to Fourche Creek, and from the old Rock Island railroad tracks on the east, to Central High School neighborhood on the west.
